Two individuals are planning to carry firearms onto a Plymouth State University this Friday – December 9th, 2011 – which may be illegal. One of those individuals is Brad Jardis, a former NH police officer, and the other is Tommy, former military. Brad and I met a few years ago, he even blogged at CopBlock for a short time (come back Brad!), so I was excited to sit down with him and get the scoop on this story.
As you’ll see (or seen) in the video above, Brad states that universities have been telling students, guest and parents that it’s against the Universities rules for people to carry firearms on university property. Yet, New Hampshire law states that no political sub party can make such a regulations in regards to certain things, including guns (read more at FreeKeene.com)
So this Friday Brad and Tommy will be walking around Plymouth State University handing out educational material with rifles strapped to their backs. Brad hopes they’ll educate people about their right to bear arms and no one will be arrested. Though he’s not only willing to go to jail over this, Brad has vowed to take the case as far as he can go if arrested Friday. CopBlock.org cameras – myself included – will be on hand.
***REPORT*** Brad reports that classes are being cancelled due to domestic threats****

STUDENT RESPONDS TO BRAD’S DEMONSTRATION:
UPDATE: Brad and Tommy decide to unload and lock guns durning demonstration.
Concord Monitor covers demonstration as well, see here.

Absolutely awesome.
Best of luck with this!
What a coincidence that there is another campus shooter having his way with disarmed victims being reported right now. Anybody have any ideas for injecting this activism into that story?
Are you guys planning to delay this in light of the campus shooting at VT campus today? I’m not suggesting it. I’m just wondering if that’s the case. Seems like you have a more volatile situation when people are now concerned based on recent events. Seems like terrible timing to me.
Gun Free zones.. one of the many laws I don’t agree with. Gun laws only affect law biding people. So your criminals are obviously not going to follow them. If a criminal were to take a gun onto school grounds to commit a crime, chances are he’s already a convicted felon, or the gun is stolen…. so there are already laws on the books to enforce.
The only thing these laws do is ensure that if someone does want to take a gun onto school grounds, it’ll be a victim rich environment.
@ Tobin. You bring up a good point. It’s been about 5 hours since that officer was killed and we know very little about the suspect. But obviously the “no guns on campus” law didn’t effect the suspects intent on killing a cop.
My personal opinion is that states change the law to allow those who have concealed weapon permits to carry on campus. I’m not a big fan of open carry, no matter what the location is.
From the short discussion on the clip, I get the idea that true patriots with character and honor LEAVE the blu-goons because they see how the entire law enforcement commuinity has been twisted out of shape. It goes a long way in identifyng the flaw in the cops that infiltrate patriotic movements to bring them down as they did during the state sanctioned slaughters for Rockefeller et al in Virginia, Colorado etc during the bloody confrontations for human rights and fair wages. This young man obviously had an issue with what he was doing and what was morally proper, (a “problem” I don’t see with the vast majority of the filth.
On the lighter side, (for them atleast), from the info in this clip, it appears the blu-goons will be doing alot of overtime here in this fascist state;

Exactly like the traitors to the people did in Russia, Ukraine, Germany et al in recent history. I wonder if those people were duped into calling the KGB, SS and the CHEKA “heroes” of the people?
The protesters arrived in Plymouth this morning, talked to the media and are handing out literature on University property as I write. They are not visibly carrying, so perhaps they ramped it down in view of the shooting (I don’t think a suicide counts as a shooting) of the officer at VT yesterday.
Man in Chicago wanted to have a gun. He filed a lawsuit and it made it to the US Supreme Court that ruled in his favor, changing the law in Chicago, or that was D.C…… Can’t remember and I don’t feel like searching.
That IMO, is the way to challenge laws you don’t agree with. Demonstrating to the point where the police get involve only distorts the message cause people will talk about what the police did, and a court case may involve a judge who dismisses the charges (if any) and chances are those charges wont revolve around the gun free school zone law. So at the end of the day, the police look bad. Law remains the same. And you’ve wasted time, energy and money.
IMO get a concealed weapons permit. enroll in the college. Sign up for 1 class and file a lawsuit against the college for violating your 2nd Amend rights. Also, I would suggest moving to more conservative state cause you run a better chance of getting a more conservative judge and appelate judge.
Like I said b4, I think smart people should be able to carry on school.
hey Jarvis decided not to bring your gun…..LOL……what a joke….you really showed them….LOL your all a bunch of boobs!
PSOSGT, we don’t all get PAID to go to court like you do (and probably overtime in some circumstances, huh). Challenging the laws in court is a rich fools errand. I like the way these guys handled themselves.
@Joe – I’ll bet you he DID have a gun.
@1605 ooooooooooooo….LOL
Good stuff!
