Below is a paragraph from our web guru and founder of Liberty Web Alliance, which host CopBlock.org and other sites:
In order to keep awesome truth-oriented sites (like CopBlock) up and running Liberty Web Alliance is having to invest in substantial security enhancements. In the last two weeks the dedicated server that plays host to CopBlock, PFPM, LibertyOnTour, and more has been hit with massive DDoS attacks that shut down the server. Each time further investment in security and server configuration were made. This does not come without cost. So if you value the truth that they are facilitating being spread, please donate a few bucks to go towards keeping liberty online and impacting the world for good.
The powers-that-be do not like the truth being spread. Don’t let them succeed in this attempt to shut us down.
Liberty Web Alliance is an invaluable service to not only CopBlock but several journalistic sites. They provide top notch web support, designs and interfaces for nothing. They’re able to do this thanks to a group of core donors, yet, problems like this reach outside their budgets. If you’re able, please consider donating a couple bucks – click pay pal button below – to help off set the security upgrades to these servers. All donations go directly to Liberty Web Alliance and will be used on CopBlock.org servers. If you have anymore questions about donating please contact donation[at]libertyweballiance[dot]com
We here at CopBlock.org thank you in advance.

I don’t donate on the internet but if you would send me your address I’ll help
Get a web host with competent defenses against that sort of thing. Cisco Guard XT 5650A network appliances do a great job of stopping that kind of problem in it’s tracks before it even gets to your box.
Seriously, your web host is incompetent and needs to be fired. It’s a lot cheaper to do some research up-front and choose a host with protections already built-in than it is to defend a hopeless case.
Look for a host with a level-of-service agreement, and not just a meaningless up-time guarantee (that invalidates up-time eligibility in a shady TOS).
Also, if you host the majority if your stuff (files, images web applications, etc) in a cloud platform, most of this kind of problem does away. Amazon Web Services is an amazing solution for this.
No offense intended, but educating yourself on the issue and shopping for a better set of products and platforms is cheaper what you’re doing now.
Clicked the “Donate” button, nothing happened.
Is the HTML broken somehow?
I donated $40 , thanks for your great work. Keep standing up for our rights!
