I see little girls selling girl scout cookies in fron of Wal-mart every day. I know they need permisson from Wal-mart but do they need a permit from the township? I get solicter calls all of the time saying you give us 10 dollars and we will send you thinngs like xmas cards or to that nature how they dont get after them?
Interesting! I had no idea they’d show something like this on Fox. I’m quite impressed. Good to see that CopBlock is getting out there too.
John Stossel has raised some interesting points and questions on that show.
Now all that is needed is to get current politicians to look and for media to discuss more and more.

Everyone wonders where all our tax dollars go. How many useles government agencies could we get rid of that enforce these ridiculous laws. This is eye opening and extremely frightening. When does it end?
It doesn’t.
We are all aware, (or SHOULD be), that the filth of the “Supreme Court”, gifted corporate entities Citizen’s Rights in 1886 – (Santa Clara County VS Southern Pacific RR). We are all aware, (or SHOULD be), the same body of filth removed ALL legislative restraints limiting “contributions” from corporate entities to their rent-a-legislator’s election/re-election campaign, (2 years ago…”Citizen’s United”).
So, a “Christian” Democratic Republic of,by and for the PEOPLE have given all the “perks” we assumed were reserved for real live Human beings to a legal entity that has never drawn a breath.
When was the last, (or FIRST), time you ever saw a CEO or any officer of a corporation arrested, convicted, imprisoned or executed for depraved indifference to human life resulting in death?
Or IF convicted and given a trivial prison term then pardoned or even pardoned BEFORE they’ve been charged?

Without taxes, there would be no roads, no sidewalks (for idiots to chalk), no infrustructure of towns and cities at all. If you don’t want to pay, I’ve said this before, MOVE!!! Since America is such a horrible place, leave!!!
I am “forced” to pay for everything!!! If I want to eat, I have to pay, if I want a car, I have to pay, if I want to see a concert, I HAVE TO PAY!!! I don’t go to the grocery store and start yelling at the clerk, with video camera in hand (of course), because I think it’s ridiculous that I am “forced” to pay for food!!! IDIOTS!!!

There would be a free market for roads if the government didn’t monopolize roads by force. Saying that roads wouldn’t exist without the government is like someone in communist Russia saying that bread would not exist without the government.
If I want food, I’m not forced to pay Vons for food, but if I want protection, I AM FORCED to pay the United States governmnet for protection. I want the choice of who I give my business to.

Most roads are built by a free market system. In fact most roads are built by the lowest bidder, makes you feel safe huh? What would you like? Would you like to be able to say who gets to build YOUR ROAD? Maybe a vote. We, as Americans, can vote on who builds the road that our houses are on. OR we can choose to have a contractor, that we chose to pay, do the pavement JUST in front of our house. That wouldn’t be a complicated system at all!!! (sarcastic font)
Same with law enforcement. How complicated would it be, if you “hired” one company and I as your next door neighbor “hired” a different company? Hell, let’s do it with the fire department, the water company, the electric company, and the road crews.
It seems to me that most people who complain, on this site and others like it, complain about the current system, but have no educated or constructive way to change it. They bitch, but don’t think it through.

Taxation without consent is robbery. Voting on what should be done with stolen money does justify robbery.

It doesn’t matter; convience doesn’t justify robbery. But regardless, markets always do better than government.

Convincing people that government shouldn’t have moral exceptions is the only way to change the world.
I don’t know where you live, but where I live, the companies that do the road work are private businesses that bid on government contracts. I can hire them if I have a paving job that needs to be done.

If you were to ask people, “what taxes would you like to pay, and what would you like them used for?” What in the world do you think would happen??? NO ONE would pay anything and everything would tumble!!! This is what I mean, you complain, but don’t have a better idea. You just keep saying it’s robbery. It sucks to have to pay taxes, I get it. It sucks when the cops give you a ticket for a minor infraction, I get it. However, until you can come up with a better idea, this is what we have. If you don’t like it, seriously, leave. Like it or hate it, America is the best, most free country to live in, hands down. Why do you think people come here from other countries, because it’s so horrible??? Think about it for a minute.

Private business that are funded voluntarily is free market. Private business that are funded via money that is forcefully taken from people is not free market.
Of course nobody would pay taxes if they weren’t forced to! People would pay for what they want. You don’t have to force people to pay for things that they want. People don’t want government.
Voluntarism is a better idea. Let people choose who they associate with instead of using guns.

If you truly believe this you would fit in nicely with the loyalists who opposed the American Revolution. You don’t understand or believe in the principle of “no taxation without representation”. If you did you wouldn’t make such an ignorant and bigoted comment. You obviously don’t know much about freedom in general as well. Have you ever read the US Constitution? I doubt it. Or you simply disagree with it.
You obviously believe that thinking IS illegal and coupled with your blind obedience to the government you are doing as you believe you are told; I.E. you don’t think!
Like so many you base your arguments on a very flawed premise. Because the gov commits illegal acts we need more laws to straighten out the consequences of the laws that have already been broken. This is the same with lying. Many more lies are usually required to keep the original lie going.
Stop attacking symptoms and attack the root cause.
You say people complain but have no solution. The reason this is prevalent is because the real solution is so drastic that society has to be pushed very far before that solution will manifest. We obviously aren’t there yet. The issue is arbitrary and capricious government and the fact that we do not have rule of law! It is rule by men and their personalities!
There is no accountability for those members of the “select” groups of society that flagrantly break the laws! They insulate themselves from justice and leave the people 2 choices; tolerate their nonstop corruption or rise up and chop off their heads! Make no mistake, these are the only options for the tyrants who refuse to LET us prosecute/punish them for their crimes. Their henchmen order followers sure as hell aren’t going to do it! In fact it is their henchmen order followers that insulate themselves and their masters from that justice!
It has ALWAYS been this way. The founders were cop killers and all freedom movements require it. Tyrants don’t give up power without the use of force!

@Smarter-I have read the Constitution, thank you. Taxation without representation simply means that, we can tax you as long as your elected governmental officials sign off on it (REPRESENTING YOU). We elected them, so if they say, “we need a tax for __________.”, we’re suppose to agree with it. I’m not saying I agree with a lot that politicians do, but this is our system. I believe that being a Senator or Congressman should be like jury duty. You are just randomly selected for a term of say, two years. That would either end corruption or antagonize the crap out of it.
I DO NOT believe thinking should be illegal. My point to Frank about things tumbling, simply was speaking of the infrastructure of our life. No taxes = no protection from foreign governments that would love to have this piece of real estate, no roads to drive on, no sidewalks to chalk, no legal system (other than back to the old west of you stole my horse, so I’ll shoot you dead), no traffic lights, no electricity, no food controls, no drug controls, no building codes (remember Haiti), no symbolence of anything civil.
I’m all for differences of opinion, however, saying that taxes are “stolen money” is ridiculous! If you want to reverse everything that the human race has accomplished in the last 100-150 years, than by all means, lets get rid of taxes!!! We’ll be speaking Chinese in no time!!!

There you go again saying that there would be no roads without taxation. That is ridiculous. If people want roads, there will be a market for roads. It doesn’t matter if they are paid for by a homeowners association, or the businesses in the area, or the oil companies so that people will buy gas, etc. What matters is that a group (possibly calling themselves government) doesn’t say, pay us to build roads or we will seize your property and imprison you.
The same argument can be made for protection. I don’t know how the market will solve this problem, but I do know that it’s wrong to provide a good or service at the barrel of a gun.
Okay, let’s say that an HOA is going to build roads. Where are they going to get the money for that? Oh, that’s right, from the home owners. I have an HOA and if I don’t pay my dues, they threaten to put a lean on my house (aka, gun to my head)!!! Do you think HOA’s will build freeways??? What about interstates??? Oil companies??? Really??? They are the only industry that consistantly shows ridiculous profits. Do you think they’re going to give up some of those profits for roads??? NOPE!!! They’re going to rise the cost of fuel to cover the roads (aka, gun to my head)!!!
Once again, you’re complaining about the government without 1)thinking it through and 2)without having any sort of viable alternative.

You obviously don’t understand the difference between coercive entities (governments), and voluntary entities (businesses). It is the difference between forced interactions and mutually voluntary interactions. When you bought your home, you agreed to be a part of the homeowners association. The government forces you to enter into a relationship with them. And the oil companies don’t put a gun to your head. They own a product. You can choose to buy it or not to buy it. Government interference into currencies and markets is what drives up oil prices. And I was just giving possible solutions. I don’t know exactly how the markets will build and maintain roads, but forcing people to pay for roads is wrong. Markets are the most ethical and most effecient way to provide goods and services. If you don’t understand that, you should take an Austrian Economics course.
If you like the house, you DON’T get a choice to join the HOA or not. If you want to live there, YOU WILL join the HOA. So you would just stop buying fuel??? Really??? Give that a shot. You wouldn’t make it a week. If you go with public transportation, or electric cars, guess what??? Still paying the oil companies. If you go with walking, guess where some of the materials for your shoes come from??? Oil companies. If you ride a bicycle, guess where some of the materials for the tires, greese for the bearings, chain lube, etc… come from??? OIL COMPANIES!!!! These are all part of your “free market” approach??? Give me a break.
As for the government driving fuel prices up, you obviously don’t know much about economics either. We, in the U.S. live in a false economy. Our (horrible in your opinion) government pays for half of our fuel. EVERYWHERE else on this planet is currently paying almost $10.00 a gallon for gas. Not here, why, because the government is subsidising it.
You’re right about one thing, you DON’T know. You see the world from your very narrow point of view and run with it. Step away for a minute and look at it from a different perspective.

Where does the government get the money to subsidize? They take it from people by force! I would rather not pay a middle man and just pay the oil companies directly. I have weighed in on the coercive perspective, and have determined that I believe that the initation of violence is wrong, and I only support voluntary interactions between people. Please stop supporting violence against peaceful people.
