I believe that all people have the same rights. No matter what you look like, where you were born or what job you have. People are equal, no one is better than another, period.
Some believe that certain people (like the sick and elderly or the privileged) have more rights than another person. Or that’s what they mean when they say, “Legalize medical marijuana (or insert anything justifies legalization (theft) opposed to criminalization (force)).”
Then there are some who will do whatever they’re told because “they’re just doing their jobs.”
It’s the last of those that really scare me and the type of people currently employed at the Cheshire County Sheriff’s office, particularly Caleb Dodson. For months these men have spit in the face of the constitution they swore to uphold by repeatedly restricting the “Freedom” of the press. That silly piece of paper they raised their hand to grants a “freedom of the press” and though that also grants people with one profession more rights than others, these officers refuse to uphold their own agreement.
Now I can’t really blame Caleb and his thuggish friends for pissing on their oath. The constitution is meaningless. What I do blame Caleb and the house of organized crime he works for is their actions. They all know they’re public officials and Caleb knows he’s a “law enforcer” that is subject to being filmed. Therefore, if they know we’re (anyone, at anytime) allowed to film (and more so when they show up, cause their violent bastards) then why do they continue to enforce filming bans and bogus trespassing orders. Especially when these bans and orders are not law, but merely judges’ orders.
How many camera bans will you allow before you say something? We let the guns go, will we let the cameras go too? The more the government can do without you know, the worse it will be. Don’t believe me, just wait.
Special thanks to Carlos Miller for his footage and coverage today, I’ll post his blog post later (when up) but for now you can see his video of the event here.

When you wrote this, “People are equal, no one is better than another, period.”, I sincerely hope you were joking.
I am better than a pedophile. I am better than a crooked cop. I am better than most politicians. I am better than a murderer. I am, in fact, for a number of reasons, vastly superior to a great many people in the world.
If you are the equal to a child rapist, would you please explain to me why I should give anything you say any creedence?
G., Thomas Jefferson used the phrase, “All men are created equal” in The Declaration of Independence. Both authors obviously didn’t mean you should be able to run around and hurt people without consequences.
Caleb seems to be coming frightening more and more comfortable with his role as oppressor. He has his lines down and he is CONFIDENT. Scary.
All men are created equal. We don’t stay that way.
“That silly piece of paper they raised their hand to grants a “freedom of the press” and though that also grants people with one profession more rights than others, these ”
You are wrong on both counts. The Constitution does not “grant” rights. It limits the government from infringing on rights all humans have. Also “Freedom of the press” has nothing to do with journalists or profession. It refers to the printing press, in today’s world the camera, the laser printer and the digital voice recorder. (Or whatever tech you want to use) Freedom of the press means the government cannot keep us from spreading information. All citizens have the exact same “freedom of the press”. A job title does not give any special rights.
Hahah that’s awesome they locked him up, stupid fucking hippies
I’d swear out a warrant on the idiot, take him jail, then he’d forfeit that 2000. Nice. You guys have acted like idiots so much that why should they tolerate you? The police DON’T have to take abuse and harassment. If you acted in an orderly fashion, none of these things would have happened to you. But act like fools, expect to be treated as fools. Act like adults, get treated as adults. Your desire to antagonize the police has clouded your judgement, and weakened your case. The police don’t seem to be ‘jumping out on you’ , you always take it to them.
And I ask again, why do you guys think that the police or any public official has to just answer your mindless questions? Especially when they are dealing with something that you are not involved in(other than you sticking your nose in it).
If you guys want to prove some kind of point, go to court and follow the rules. If something happens to you then, you have a real story. Or just live your life and film the police if/when they seek you out and then, you will have a story. As is, you just look foolish and whiny.

Simple answer…the citizens pay your salary.
I respect what you guys are doing. We know damn well that this camera ban is in place because they’re afraid of people learning what’s really going on. If the court officials were acting honorably and in good faith, why on earth would they fear somebody filming them? No harm could come of it, unless you are acting illegally or in a dishonorable fashion.
That said, perhaps it’s time for a change of tactics? Law enforcement can respond well to physically forcing somebody out of a building. Maybe a good idea would be to call them out at public meetings? That way you can present an argument without worrying about being man-handled, and you’ll force those in power to justify themselves in front of others, which needless to day will make them look like assholes. You may even get thrown out, which will garner more sympathy.
@t
You’ll really hate to hear this, but we regard you as our servant. The citizens pay your salary and benefits, buy you your cars and guns, and they have entrusted their safekeeping and liberty with you, the peace officer / public servant. By rights, the public is your master and you its servant. That may sound repulsive and I don’t blame you, but if that’s the case then you should pick another career that doesn’t entail serving others.
When the master speaks to the servant, the servant should answer him. That is why we get upset when public officials are questioned and in turn lash out.
I’ve heard the, “Go change the laws the legal way” and it’s getting ridiculous. For starters what evidence do we have that the courts act in good faith? Besides you know damn well that it takes at least thousands of dollars to do anything legally significant, hundreds of thousands and even millions in big cases. Hell if you want to dispute a traffic ticket the courts will still stick you with a $50 fee even if you’re innocent. You court is run by money, and since most of us are part of the working class we can’t afford justice. That’s why we resort to such tactics because we have no other option.
@ t.
Good comment, that’s probably the most intelligent thing on this stupid hippie website.
Old man: Not employed as information booth. Watch the fool in the first part of the video. The bailiff informs him he can’t film inside. Agree or disagree, doesn’t matter. The retard keeps filming, “just let me ask one question, just let me ask you one question….”. With your statement, are you that guy (be honest) that drives through the busy intersection where I’m directing traffic and stops, holding up everyone else, to ask what’s going on? You are aren’t you. Always about you.
I like the idiot who comes to the courthouse looking to cause a confrontation, then yells, “I just want to be left alone!”, and lastly, makes fun of the cops for not catching him.
IDIOTS!!!
I heard on this site that Ademo likes to play poker. Do you think he looks at his hand, then reaches over, grabs the deck from the dealer and gives himself a royal flush every hand? Why not, who needs these silly rules!!! Rules are dumb, we don’t need them, right??? IDIOTS!!!
Can anybody come up with a reason why cameras shouldn’t be allowed in the courthouse? That’s the main issue here.
So you guys show up to the courthouse expecting to be arrested, knowing you are violating the courthouse rules. Then you guys argue with the cops trying to convince them they are wrong, but get arrested (like you knew you probably would). Then the sissy boy at the end runs down the road to get away from them, proving he is a coward. He tries to prove his meaningless point but backs out when the cops step up to him.
The ‘police’ didn’t have to take harrasment from foolish americans who thought they should be free-and that’s what caused the boston massacre.
Angry, cameras aren’t allowed in court houses because cockroaches hate light. If there is no record then the scumbags can make up any story they want. If there is video then they can’t.
Just watched this again. Ademo, thank you. Those men are thugs and robots!
@ G asher. I think is men are equal comment was more about us all having the same rights and liberties verses who is better at football or life.
@ Mallory, your right on!! Constitution doesn’t “give” you rights, it prohibit’s the gov’t from infringing upon them. Easiest example is this website. I have the “right to free speach”, but at any time my IP address or I could be banned from the site(probably just gave someone an idea :) ) but that doesn’t violate the constitution because this site isn’t the gov’t. they can do as they wish.
Finally, in reference to camera’s in court. Your fight isn’t with the deputies at the front door!! It’s with those who made and those who are above those who made the rule. If you get grounded from your xbax and the babysitter says you can’t play, it’s pointless to argue with her when your “fight” is with your parents. Everything in court is, or should be on tape. Freedom of Information Act gives you access to that when you file a request. They don’t allow camera’s or phones in our court building. Never have unless you are part of the recognized media and request permission. They’ve never been denied as far as I know of.
There probably wouldn’t be any problem with the filming if that’s all it was. But it’s just part of the staging, your bateing of the judges and baliff’s, trying to show them doing something wrong when there not. If I was that judge, I wouldn’t want you recording either. The site is littered with examples of intentionally altered videos that claim misconduct. When the entire video is shown, the misconduct disappears.
If all you guys want to do is hold the police and public officials accountable, stand back and film. But that isn’t what you do. You interject or insert yourself into the situation. That’s the point where people get arrested. Stand back and film. If there is misconduct, and at times there will be, you’ll catch it and have good evidence. But when you get involved, and record your own misdeeds, I Doyle seize the camera and video as evidence of the incident and crimes. Just watch some of the videos available and posted on this site. Watch the foolishness that ensues. Them watch and think how good your point would have been made (or not made, either way) if you had just passively stood back and filmed it not have gotten involved.
Just saying
I think the arguments against cameras in court are pretty weak. Yes it is possible to alter or sensationalize footage, and it has happened before, even on this site. On the same note the media can also sensationalize and alter footage. The court can also alter footage. Hell the police do it all the time when they keep “losing” their dash cam videos.
If somebody is recording in a public place should we automatically assume malicious intent? If somebody takes a picture of a cop, should we view that as an attempt to slander the cop by altering footage, or should we just view it as an attempt to take pictures of a cop?
T your logic makes no sense. Filming in court is OK but the people in this video shouldn’t be allowed to film because they were trying to get a reaction by filming? They filmed and questioned some public officials, which is their right. The bailiffs reacted because they were being filmed, not because they were being terrorized.
If government officials continue to record and question us, we will record and question them right back. If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen as they say.
Angry: I didn’t say not to film. I just said I can understand why they don’t want you to. The problem isn’t really the filming, it’s the attack tactics. Planning on ‘not standing’ as a protest, everybody film me and the ‘bad police officers’ . Or the good old “let me ask you a question, OK let me ask you this question, OK why won’t you answer my (goofy ass) question?”. You are or should be, familiar with the concept of “consenual encounters”. It’s what is always preach on this site to avoid with the police. Your coming to me like that is what? Oh, a consenual encounter. I don’t have to engage in it just because I’m the police. If I decide not to engage you in any conversation, it’s OK. For some misinformed reason, people on here don’t think it is OK. But they are misinformed.
Again, I will say, film film film. Just don’t involve yourself into a situation that doesn’t pretain to you. That is mine and whomevers private business. You don’t have the right to demand that I answer your questions about things that don’t involve you. But please, film away.
