SWAT Murders 68-year-old Grandfather

Eurie Stamps1 SWAT Murders 68 year old Grandfather

Eurie Stamps

The 12 grandchildren of Eurie Stamps Sr. will begin 2011 by burying their beloved grandfather. On January 5th Mr Stamps was murdered by the Framingham, MA Swat Team during a botched drug raid. Mr. Stamps was not the target of the drug raid and he was not armed when he was killed.

Framingham’s Police Chief, Steven Carl released this statement about the shooting.

At 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 5, the Framingham Police SWAT Team served a search warrant at 26 Fountain St. in Framingham. During the service of the search warrant Mr. Eurie Stamps was tragically and fatally struck by a bullet which was discharged from a SWAT officer’s rifle. Despite immediate intervention by tactical medics, he died at the scene.

The officer involved has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the District Attorney’s Office’s independent investigation into the justifiability of the shooting.  Our condolences are with Mr. Stamp’s family for the heartbreak they are understandably enduring and we will await the findings of the investigation before taking any additional administrative action.

According to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, the investigation will take three to four weeks and the identity of the Framingham officer who shot Stamps will not be released until the investigation is complete.

Do you like how Chief Carl worded that? Mr. Stamps was not killed by a SWAT officer. He was “fatally struck by a bullet which was discharged from a SWAT officer’s rifle.” He makes it sound as if Mr. Stamp was killed by a rogue bullet that just magically discharged from an officer’s rifle instead of by the reckless actions of the Framingham Police.

A report that came out of Maryland in 2010 showed that almost 92% of the 1,618 SWAT Team deployments in that state were for the purpose of serving a search warrant. 47% of those search warrants were issued for the purpose of recovering illegal drugs. The use of SWAT was originally for the purpose of diffusing already violent situations such as hostage situations or engaging heavily armed suspects. Today we see that in one state (I would not be surprised if these numbers would be similar in all states) 47% of the time heavily armed men with badges were sent into an otherwise non-violent situation and created violence where none existed before. Sending heavily armed, adrenaline pumped men into someone’s home in the middle of the night creates a volatile environment that not only puts suspects and bystanders at risk, but officers themselves. The inevitable result is that people are needlessly killed. How many more have to die before people will say enough?

If you or I committed a crime and our partner in crime murdered someone in the process, you and I would be charged with that murder right along with the shooter. Responsibility does not only lie with the officer who fired the fatal shot. Anyone who gave the order to perform a violent raid and everyone who carried out that order should share in the responsibility for Mr. Stamps death.  If the justice system does not hold them responsible, I hope their consciences do.

Their consciences?? These fucking traitors don’t have consciences. They are sociopaths on a power trip who do bad things on behalf of corporations, and pump steroids in their downtime. Fuck them. As far as they are concerned, the Constitution is for wiping-one’s-ass with and US citizens are “tactical” target practice. The family members of that man should find out where that cop lives and go level the playing field. This is what it will eventually come to anyway.

Hey guys, first of all LOVE the site, you guys do great work.

I am from Framingham and this is crazy the way the fuzz is covering up this one!! While I don’t condone selling drugs, as the numerous reports locally said no weapons were even inside the house at the time the “raid” aka attack took place.

Even that being said, I am okay with going after the bad guys, do what they need to do. My HUGE problem with this is that they arrested two suspects during their raid. One had priors and was held on 5,000 dollars bail. The other suspect was RELEASED WITHOUT BAIL!!! Since the use of SWAT should be used in situations that are likely to be violent or have weapns involved doesn’t it seem that this suspect must have been pretty sought after to require SWAT to come in. For the record I am pretty sure Framingham doesn’t have a SWAT team as Framingham is a town, not even a city. I am thinking a lot of resources (tax payer money) went into this raid, and they don’t even think he is a risk to run and release him without bail. What a joke. An innocent grandfather had to die to pick up two dealers, one who they didn’t even see fit to keep him with bail. Smooth.

Know what I’d love to see? I’d love to see honestly and respect from the police. Sadly, it would be absolutely amazing to see — imagine an officer coming forward and saying, “I’m sorry. That was me. I shot him. It shouldn’t have happened, but I did it.”

Yeah, I know, it will never happen, but I like to dream of nice places and nice things.

People getting accidentally shot in drug raids has been going on a long time. When asked about this, former “drug czar”(and just when the fuck did we start having “czars” anyway, it’s not a term that goes well with democracy) Bill Bennett said something along the line of “they should be considered a sacrifice to the war on drugs”. I have no desire to be a sacrifice to the war on drugs, I’ve hated that prick ever since he made that comment. I’d like to “sacrifice” the failed war on drugs.

  5. Whether or not the shooting was justified is for the police to decide; they have all the experience deciding such matters.

Stamps is a lesser person, so it’s not really that serious either way. Our legal system provides for much greater protection for government employees than regular people, and recognizes the change in severity of a crime when the offender and victim are of different castes. It’s the way we do business here in America.

Slap a civilian, and slap a government employee and you will be quickly made aware of the different.

Militarized steroid infested swat teams? When did all this happen for a simple arrest…watch too much TV…must escape this maniacle world…its insane…but they are there to protect you after you are dead, draw yellow or white circles around bodies, eat doughnuts and Swat team you @ 3:00 in the morning…sounds more like the Nazis’s SS, or the Red Chinese sending their boys in during the night to carry away the desenters.
