This video shows the exact reason why you should always have camera ready to document any and all encounters with police. I think she did a great job standing up for her rights while educating the police on their ignorance of the law. I especially like how the questions kept going challenging the officer while on film. If the camera was shut off who knows what might have happened.
I believe she was investigating a gun club that releases captured pigeons and when they try and fly away shooting them with a shotgun letting them bleed to death before throwing them into a huge mound of other birds waiting to die. Not that I am against hunting, I just make sure you can use what you kill.

It is cruel to use birds as target practice. She did a nice job standing up for her right to document the situation. I am sure it helped that she was a lawyer, but you don’t have to be a lawyer to educate yourself on your rights and the laws. Knowledge is power :)
While I respect her for her defense of rights, I find it hypocritical that you think you should coerce one to use their property as you find acceptable.
Good for her. The officer was a BULLY.
And they should NOT have used the complainant as backup or allowed him act like law enforcement himself!
Good OL boy club favoritism.
She is a lawyer she should send a real message and sue for harassment.
The officer needs to be reprimanded. A large majority of LEOs in other states are requesting audio/vid head gear because it helps them in court. IF he had nothing to hide he would have preferred a REAL indisputable account of the transaction.
He did not say he wasn’t going to take her into custody, he tipped around saying that.
He fully insinuated he had some right to arrest her because he ‘kindy asked her’ to stop audio taping him. I am a very strong person but he did threaten her ; I can’t say I would not have been intimidated.
Had she been on private property the officer would have arrested her for trespassing. Rather then making up laws to suit his agenda. One has to wonder why he wanted so badly to not have heard what he wanted to say.
Oh, for Pete’s sake! There are thousands of REAL police abuses happening every day in this country. This isn’t one of them. The cop was just trying to make the best of a bad situation, and he didn’t go all Rambo on her nor did he steal her camera.
