A Keene, NH Officer Gets Cop Blocked

Today while shopping at the local Wal Mart Pete Eyre and I noticed a Keene Police officer shopping as we left.  To no surprise we saw he was parked illegally outside.  We waited around so we could ask him why he felt he was privileged enough to park there, while others would be ticketed.

The man with the badge claimed to be on official police business, though that looked alot like shopping to me, and stated that since he drives a different car than most he was allowed to park where ever.  Even if he was shopping for the department couldn’t the man, who presumably tickets (fancy word for stealing or ordering) others for parking infractions, just park in a stall?

This is another good example of what type of video Cop Block is looking for.  If you hurry you can still submit one for our contest, see details here.

Hoping you file a complaint or at least call their Media/Public Relations and see their take on this video. Good work all the way around.

  3. Well done chaps! Tell me, am I right in thinking that this guy, as he came to put his stuff in the trunk and was chatting on his phone, had absolutely no idea that the two of you were bracketing him?

  4. Adam Mueller says:

That is true, he also didn’t know that some pics were taken of him while in the store.. caught him by surprise. :)

  5. Jenn says:

GREAT VIDEO! LOVE IT! What an ass. “Official business” – so bogus!

  6. Heck says:

Except a patrol car has a radio and scanner in it, also the officer has a radio. Not to much worry of emergency vehicle blocking the way. Also he wasn’t carrying shopping bags, looked like he might actually have official business.

Cops do run errands between calls, good thing his patrol car was accessable to him in case an emergency did come up. I would rather save him some time in such a case.

  7. Jase says:

Didn’t seem to me like he was shopping. Looked like both of the boxes had red evidence tape around them.
