   I have been saying for a long time, the only good cop is a former cop.

   Well, I would like to believe this is actually a detective. He sounds educated at least, and may well be. I would like to see that there are LE that do understand they can’t just do what they want.

   I have heard from a number of former cops who flat state that LE has changed, and they blame the change to paramilitary thinking and behavior. The average cop I see now does his best to look like some movie SEAL team member, and behave like one.

   Shawn, please watch the movie “Serpico”, then do some research on Frank Serpico himself. Then check out Jack McLamb, a former police officer. Then check out Sheriff Mack, one of the very few Constitutional police officers in America.

   Most of the negative knowledge I have about law enforcement comes not from personal experience, but research. The best information comes from cops and former cops, so I gather all of it I can/
