With classes cancelled due to Nemo, Boston University students got in the wintertime spirit, hosting “Snowbrawl 2013” on the Esplanade Friday night. More than 2,000 students allegedly RSVP’d to attend, clad in colorful snow goggles and apparently not enough layers to avoid screaming, “Ow.”
The Boston Police and Boston University Police Departments did show up to the scene. Multiple students were allegedly detained, and the photo below suggests one was tasered for throwing a snowball at a cop:

So where is this alleged video?

Wow this just boggles my mind. The police arrive to a child like snowball fight, get hit with a snowball, taser and arrest someone.
Who called the cops in the first place? Were they even needed? Everyone who participated in the event volunteered to be there, which means they knew and understood the risk. With all the bad weather you would think the police department would have more important things to do than go to a college snowball fight.
My whole point is that if you don’t want to get hit with snowballs don’t go to a snowball fight, duh.
Get hit with a snowball, and return fire with a weapon that is known to kill people. Here’s a question – If a cop “jokingly” tossed a snowball at someone, and they responded with a taser, what would happen?
Nope, no double standard here, move along, or we’ll tase Frosty the Snowman until he’s steam.

From what I saw, kid threw a snow ball at a cop. Although throwing a snowball at cop is bad idea, why the response from the police to a college event. When I was in college we did dumb shit like this all the time and never a bunch of goons with guns came unless the drinking got out of control and even then they made us break it up and checked some I.D.’s for those that were obviously not 21 and sent them away with an underage drinking ticket and a court date. WOW….Run on sentence, sorry……Don’t hit a cop with a snow ball regardless. Kid deserved going to jail………

The guy did something to catch the LEOs eye. HE then ran and the LEO chased after him. It looked like at the end of the one video that showed the incident, the guy was eventually caught but began resisting. That’s why he was tasered.

If you dont want to get hit by a snowball then don’t go to a snowball fight. If you dont want to get wet dont go outside in the rain. These common sense suggestions dont compute with the cops of today. All they know is they are in charge and if they aren’t the ones having a good time no one else will either. So what do they do, they show up uninvited and get pissed when everyone doesnt stop and kiss their ass. They are like a bunch of needy children who have to be the center of attention and will punish anyone who doesnt kiss their ass.
