Altercating, drinking and off duty or on, it’s more understandable that the gov’t would prosecute a cop killing their trained soldier, who is the asset and investment of another dept. (Defense), whereas they don’t prosecute cops for killing us citizens/civilians (We The People).
I read the article about Officer Tshamba killing veteran Brown in Baltimore, and the resulting “all out man-hunt.” Obviously the officer did not have the character, discipline, maturity, morality, responsibility, self-control, etc to be a cop and carry a gun. He deserved a murder conviction 5 and/or 12 years ago, but instead the authorities rewarded him with a paid vacation and then let him go back to the job for years. How a police chief and city gov’t could deem a drunk driver, a killer and a playboy “one of the city’s finest” and continue to entrust such a position of responsibility for so many years is astounding.
