Denver is not doing so good this year as far as police being public servants go, as you could see here, and here. So when the the Denver Police Department’s division chief was caught breaking the law you would think he would be punished with more than 2 days lost pay that averaged around $756.00.
According to the article,
The Denver Police Department’s division chief who oversees criminal investigations has been disciplined and ordered to forfeit two days worth of pay for circumventing security at Denver International Airport.
A CBS4 investigation learned that Division Chief Dave Fisher Jr. has been docked two days salary for an incident at DIA in late 2009. Fisher makes $138,000 per year.
According to multiple sources, Fisher used an electronic access card which allowed him to bypass airport security screeners at DIA and gain access to airport concourses and board a plane. The access cards are only supposed to be used by law enforcement officers and other personnel on official airport business.
Eight months after the incident a spokesman for the Denver Police Department acknowledged an internal investigation had been completed and the complaint against Fisher was sustained, resulting in 16 hours of “fined time” for violating a DPD rule against “improper procedure.
