Video of police shooting an unarmed man

Benton Ridge, Ohio:  This is not the complete video. The person who was shot is claiming that he was beaten after the video stops. The department says they can not release the complete video because of an internal investigation.

WARNING VERY GRAPHIC

Here are some comments made by police officers on what they think about what happened in this video.

  1. Just too bad that none of the rounds were fatal. That would have been deserving.
  2. Oh boy! another one bites the dust.I don’t know what the hell happened there, but Why don’t these assholes just comply with the lawful orders and pull over and do what they are told to do.When you run, and disobey. Well this is the end result.
  3. Basicly he brought his hands up as if using a two hand shooting grip. F$K him and his attorney, he should consider himself lucky he isnt dead and call it a learning experience.

According to the Courier

Sprague was hit in the hip by one of the shots and remains hospitalized in Lima. The two officers who fired their weapons are on administrative leave pending internal investigations.

The 96-second clip of a video taken from a police car’s dashboard camera also raises as many questions as it answers about what transpired the night Scott Sprague was shot following a pursuit. That’s why the rest of the video should be released as soon as possible.

Hancock County Prosecutor Mark Miller released the video Tuesday, but said additional footage was being held back since the investigation is continuing.

That, of course, will make some people wonder what might have happened after Sprague was shot.

Sprague’s attorney, Robert Kehoe of Wapakoneta, claims there is more to the story. His client claims he was roughed up by officers after being shot.

“Somebody is covering something up,” Kehoe said. Miller, as is common on matters under investigation, has declined further comment on the case.

why was he running? Why did he not step out of car like a normal human being? Under the lighting conditions, i believe the police officers felt they were in danger. If they wanted to “shoot him for fun” as so many people always say, they would have done it when they walked up to the car, and no one could have said anything because no one would have seen what he was doing. To suggest that all police officers are evil and are just out looking to shoot good people is crazy. It takes balls to do what they do, and thank god for them. What kind of world would we live in if we dident have brave police officers.

  2. Chris says:

Why do cops always feel they are ‘in danger?’ Perhaps it is because they know innately, that people will always feel the urge to resist tyranny.

  3. Rob says:

Jimmy when I posted this I did not imply anywhere that all police officers are bad. I don’t know why he was running. I am curious though as to why they are not releasing the video of after he was shot where he claims he was beaten.

  4. Chris Mallory says:

    Jimmy,
Any cop who gives “professional courtesy” to another cop is a bad cop.
Any cop who doesn’t turn in every incidence of wrong doing by another cop is a bad cop.
Any cop who turns a blind eye to his brother officers violating the rights of a citizen is a bad cop.
Any cop who uses force against an unarmed non aggressive citizen is a bad cop.
Any cop who makes an arrest for a victimless cop is a bad cop.

If they could not see a weapon, it is plain that victim in this was unarmed, they had no reason to shoot. And don’t pull this crap about “walking a mile in their shoes” or “armchair quarterbacking”. The cops do it to citizens every day, if it works for them, it should work for the citizen.

AMERICAN POLICE FORCE NO BETTER THEN SHARIA LAW

I was stupid enough to think that the Abner Louima incident would change America’s racist and terrorist police departments around the country. This was one of the most outragous assalts against a American citizen by authority. Yes there have been worse but this was made known. The amount of hatred and disrespect it took to rape a citizen in law enforcement custody to violate the law to do it. Had to be of the highest!
NYPD officer Justin Volpe initially pleaded not guilty to several counts of violating Louima’s civil rights, obstruction of justice, and making false statements to police. Midway through the trial, Volpe changed his plea to guilty, confessing to having sodomized Louima. Despite the fact that Louima had several broken teeth, Volpe denied that he ever struck Louima in the mouth with the stick and claimed that he only put it very close to Louima’s mouth. Volpe also admitted that he had threatened Louima’s life. On December 13, 1999, Volpe was sentenced to 30 years in prison without the possibility of parole, a $525 fine and restitution in the amount of $277,495.
Charles Schwarz was convicted on June 27, 2000 for helping Volpe assault Louima in the bathroom and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. At the time of his conviction, there were numerous questions raised about whether he could receive a fair trial in the highly charged atmosphere. Volpe identified Thomas Wiese, not Schwarz, as the second man in a recorded interview on news show 60 Minutes, a fact not brought up in the trial. The conviction was overturned by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, which found that Schwarz was denied a fair trial. However, in 2002 he pleaded guilty to a perjury charge for testifying that he did not lead Louima to the bathroom, and was sentenced to five years in prison.
His request for leniency was rejected on March 30, 2006. He was released to a halfway house in February 2007 with plans to move to the northern United States to work as a carpenter.
Three other NYPD officers, Thomas Bruder, Michael Bellomo and Thomas Wiese were indicted for their involvement in trying to cover up the assault. On March 9, 2000, Thomas Wiese and Thomas Bruder along with Charles Schwarz were convicted on the charge of conspiracy to obstruct a federal investigation into the assault on Louima, but their conviction was reversed by a federal appeals court in February 2002 on the grounds of insufficient evidence. Michael Bellomo was found not guilty of trying to cover up the beating of Louima and that of another Haitian immigrant by Volpe earlier that evening.
The Abner Louima case showed the country and the world that racism is alive and well and the American justice system is a joke! It also expose that the supervision that are suppose

NO RESPECT FOR BLACK LIFE WHILE BLACKS ARE FIGHTING TWO WARS
African-Americans are 13 percent of the general population but make up 21 percent of military personnel and 30 percent of Army enlistees. Blacks made up 23 percent of the troops sent to the 1991 Gulf War. The Department of Defense attempted to downplay those disproportionate percentages, reporting that African-Americans were more likely to be in administrative and support jobs and therefore were less likely than white soldiers to be killed on the front lines. White soldiers made up 71 percent of the troops in the 1991 Gulf War but suffered 76 percent of the deaths. That ignores why African-Americans go into the service in the first place. Many of them are refugees from a job and collegiate environment that is disproportionately hostile to them. President Bush during the Iraq War stoked the hostility by filing a brief to the Supreme Court opposing the University of Michigan’s affirmative action program. That alone is enough to make African-Americans wonder whether they are about to relive bad history. Time after time, war after war, African-Americans fought and died for the nation’s agenda only to see the nation ignore or reject their issues. Black folks fought in the Revolution and slavery lasted nearly another century. Black soldiers were promised land after the Battle of New Orleans during the War of 1812 and never got it.
In the Civil War, African-Americans, then 14 percent of the population, were 20 percent of the Union casualties. Yet segregation and second-class opportunities were the rule for almost another century. Black folks fought in World War I in the hopes of winning full citizenship. They were rewarded with white race riots and pure hatred from the government. Participation in World War II and Korea further emboldened African-Americans to protest for desegregation in the military, public accommodations, school desegregation, and voting rights.
But Americans took so long to become disgusted with the lynching’s and disenfranchisement of the ’40s, ’50s, and early ’60s that the hypocrisy could not be contained. There was Martin Luther King Jr’s 1968 lament ”for the poor of America who are paying the double price of smashed hopes at home and death and corruption in Vietnam.” There was Muhammad Ali’s ”I ain’t got no quarrel with them Viet Cong” because, as he said, ”no Viet Cong ever called me nigger.” There were the protest from blacks that resulted in nothing but more hatred from the white establishment. Today during two wars blacks are still last hire first fire ( black unemployment at 16.5% in some area 33%) while fighting and dying in two wars! Arizona Governor past a bill that help to further disrespect minority and enforce “Racial Profiling”! Texas is changing history to reflect a more conservative past and other words LIE ABOUT AMERICAN PAST! Black children as young as 7 are being burn and shot to death by white police officer in Detroit. Black children in New York and Philly walking home from school are subject to ‘stop&frisk made to take off their shoes and some are made to drop their trousers in view of the public. Black senior citizen as old as 92 shot to death in a raid of the wrong house handcuff and allowed to died! 41 bullet murder a unarmed innocent black man Mr. Diallo!UNARMED and innocent Sean Bell murder by cops in a hail of 50 bullets. Four black American in Philly beaten like dogs on video and the white cop after finding they where the wrong black. Where back to work found NOT GUILTY! White cops shot a two year old black child’s hand off and killed the mother while the mother’s hands where up in the air as order! The white cop just started firing after hearing other cops shooting in the backyard (they where killing the dog)! The person the cops where looking for was not there! Cops found NOT GUILTY!Arresting cops disrespect of American citizen have evolve from “Stop put your in the air to ” get on the ground then a two hundred plus pound cop would put their knee on the American citizen head, back or neck! Sometime holding a conversation with the American citizen or other cops present! They do this so if the American citizen try’s to adjust to breath they can justify beating or kicking or tasering or murdering! So while black are fighting and dying in two wars. Our country is telling them their life here in America is WORTHLESS!

  7. Tyrone says:

THE MURDER OF TROY DAVIS IS JUST ANOTHER

Capital punishment, also dubbed the “death penalty,” is the pre-meditated and planned taking of a human life by a government in response to a crime committed by that legally convicted person. Passions in the US are sharply divided, and equally strong among both supporters and protesters of the death penalty. Arguing against capital punishment, Amnesty International believes that “The death penalty is the ultimate denial of human rights. It is the premeditated and cold-blooded killing of a human being by the state in the name of justice. It violates the right to life…It is the ultimate cruel, inhuman and degrading punishment. There can never be any justification for torture or for cruel treatment.” For minority in America it become a white racist tool! Another way of disrespecting black life!
Defiant until the end, Troy Davis was executed Wednesday night for the murder of an white off-duty police officer. He convinced hundreds of thousands of people around the world, but not a single court, that he was innocent. Ones again America has shown that Sharia Law and American Law are the same………..WRONG!!!! Troy Davis big problem was to be born black in America. Then to not have lived a crime free life!
In America black life is seen as worthless and less important. So when negotiating for justice for Troy Davis the fact that he is black. He was seen as more likely then not! Even if the courts believe he was innocent. They feel TOO-BAD-SO-SAD- somebody murder the off duty white police officer. Therefore somebody must pay! It didn’t matter that 7 out of the 9 recanted their story and stated THEY LIED! They claim police officers force their confession.

Remember the Central Park rape where five blacks where accuse and convicted of raping a white female jogger? After many years in prison the real rapist was caught! The five young blacks that were wrongly convicted also stated that police officer beat and torture their confession. As a former Correction Officer at a state facility. I watch over 35 inmates get release THAT WERE WRONGLY CONVICTED!

There were many thing that could had been done for Troy Davis….Like given the 7 that said they lied..a lie detector test. Interview the cops that got the confession and request the tape or video of the confession. We know America’s justice system is bias racist and unfair….We know that police officers in America LIE! We know that Muslim Sharia Law and American Law is one in the same.

American especially black Americans need to fight to change the laws in America. Like if witness state they lied and are given a lie detector test and past. That stops the execution! Or change the death penalty to a point system. If a person is convicted of murder he or she receive 500 points place in prison for 35 years. In that time if the inmate receive 500 more points. They are put to death!

Their behavior dictates their death in prison. That would take away the power of a judge jury or Governor. It would also allow the inmate to prove his or her innocent. It would also make it saver for correctional personnel! Death roll inmates would be on the best behavior!
