Internal affairs raids 12 NYPD precincts simultaneously
According to the NYPost
Investigators from the NYPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau are conducting an audit of all the tickets written at 12 Bronx precincts for the past 13 months, sources said.
The probers descended on all the precincts simultaneously yesterday, seizing documents, sources told The Post.
The audit targets all tickets written from August 2009 to present, sources said.
Police officials did not respond to a request for comment
In July, the NYPD installed a new computer system designed to track how many summonses are given out daily and to stop cops from “fixing” tickets for family and friends.
