Ryan Covers Kelly Thomas Murder Trial

Hello out there. My name is Ryan Moore and I will be covering the trial of the two Fullerton police officers charged in the beating murder of Kelly Thomas on July 5TH 2011. He was beat by 6 Fullerton officers including Manuel Anthony Ramos,Case ID# 11CF2575, Jay Patrick Cicinelli -Case ID# 11CF2575, Kenton Hampton, Joe Wolfe, James Blatney, and Seargant Kevin Craig. He was beat so severely in front of 100+ witnesses and multiple cameras, that he fell into a coma before dying 5 days later. After considerable citizen pressure and media coverage 2 of these 6 will be standing trial so far. 3 pending investigations may bring more charges to the other 4 as well.

This case is set for pre-trial December 16TH 2011 at the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana, Courtroom#C55 at 8:30 a.m.

Kelly’s army, a group of supporters for Kelly and the Thomas family, who did the Fullerton police station protests, lare set to take up their signs again outside the courthouse for this trial. Determined to not allow this to be silent and swept under any rug. The two cops on trial so far are Manuel Ramos, charged with 2nd degree murder and involuntary manslaughter, and Jay Cicinelli, charged with involuntary manslaughter and excessive use of force under the color of authority.

I have lived on the streets myself and am now a Father of two and I couldn’t sit idlely by when I heard Kelly screaming for his father as he was shown NO mercy. I have attended most every protest and action for this cause and will continue to report any updates on this case as the trial goes on. Remember December 16TH is just a pre-trial so we won’t get much in the way of answers or information, but we will get the date that opening statements are set for. I have talked with Ron Thomas, and many others involved in this cause and will be there bright and early throughout this case.

For now I implore you if you haven’t allready to Google, Ask, bing, etc, Kelly Thomas and find out more about this tragic case.  My love goes out to any family who has had to deal with something so horrible as cops, who are suppose to protect, killing innocent people out of fear. The defendants lawyers will be, William Hadden, John D.
