Gardner, KS Woman Fatally Shot by Police After Her Boyfriend Called 911

At 9:45pm Thursday, March 26th, police were called by the boyfriend of 53 yr. old, Deanna Choate, saying she had fired a handgun inside of the home. Two officers arrived and entered, then shot Choate. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The two officers involved have been put on administrative leave. The Gardner PD has given no information regarding the situation thus far, except for the initial time of the call.
