Hartshorne Officer Arrested For Receiving Sexual Favors for Leniency

According to FOX23 News:

Agents arrested 41-year-old Michael Kirkland Thursday night in his Hartshorne police uniform.

Kirkland is accused of accepting a sexual favor in return for leniency during a case he investigated earlier this year.

“We have pride in this city and to hear something like this is not only shocking, it’s surreal that it’s happening here in Hartshorne,” said Mayor Caleb Woten.

Kirkland bonded out of jail and FOX23 went to his house to see if he wanted to comment on the allegations against him. Cars were in the driveway but no one answered the door.

“It’s unacceptable,” Woten said.

Kirkland was a police officer for 14 months. He’s been charged with bribery and oral sodomy charges.

Arrested in his uniform! How I wish there were video of cops arresting a cop, it’s like finding the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Seriously, this guy must have messed up pretty bad to have the thin blue line come down on him. Normally this would have been a non issue handled by other cops, so this leads me to believe that this scumbag may have been forcing himself on his victims. Luckily, for everyone in Hartshorne this criminal is behind bars, oh wait, he’s not. He’s on paid administrative leave and according to the video below, sitting in his house hiding from the media.
