On August 6th, advocate for animals and dog rescuer, Damion Trakas, posted a video to Facebook of a very rude police officer ticketing him for “not having the tags on dog”. Apparently that’s a law in Philadelphia. Damion says the stop was harassment and the police officer was responding to a personal call made by an off-duty cop that lives in the area.

This POS came from 2 DISTRICTS AWAY.
She came via PERSONAL CALL.
There were SIX OTHER DOGS on the field.
NO ONE was stopped except me.
lol.
It’s shit like this that makes people not want to talk to and or work with cops.
In the video, Damion records other people walking dogs, but he is the only one being harassed over tags, presumably because he was walking several pit bulls.
At the end of the video the officer tells Damion, “I’ll be here every Sunday”, vowing to continue the harassment if he didn’t stop walking his dogs in the park.
Angry that he was targeted, Damion made an off-the-cuff comment on Facebook about shooting police officers. Today, he says he was visited by Homeland Security.

They were very professional, fair, nice guys. (one was a dog rescuer. RESPECT)
But……
let me clear something up for any FANATICS.
My prior postings regarding shooting police are an EMOTIONAL RESPONSE.
I am TIRED of police getting away with MURDER.
So instead of further policing good citizens MAYBE start holding police ACCOUNTABLE???!!
Of course you shouldn’t shoot cops or anyone for that matter.
HOWEVER,
I still stand on YOUR RIGHT TO DEFEND LIFE!!! NO MATTER WHO IT IS.
I might choose my wording better as to not instigate any cop hating fanatics, that which I am NOT, but I’ll NEVER change my stance on KILLING INNOCENT LIFE! Be it human or animal.
HOLD ALL ACCOUNTABLE!!!
INCLUDING THE ONES ON YOUR TEAM!!
This is what happens when a video goes viral and people actually start PAYING ATTENTION.

Damion says he will be proceed with filing a formal complaint and holding police officers accountable.
I will be taking this harassment case as far as I can go.
It isn’t about “me” or my dogs. It’s bigger than that.
It’s about holding those accountable that are there on the job and supposed to be holding you accountable.
