Allentown Students Rise Up

Over the last 3 days Copblock Contributors and several other alternative media outlets have run a call flood request for Allentown PD at my request. I have been taking on the problems there of corruption, brutality, and just plain underhanded human behavior first hand. I dubbed the week planned as the week of Hell, for Allentown PD to demand Justice and accountability.

We were happily surprised to find out that we were not the only ones standing up at this time. The students of the Allentown School District also decided to use this time to rise up and fight for their future! There were a number issues on the table but the most prominent being fought for were, the schools cutting budgets, the missing money that caused all their extracurricular activities to be canceled and the lack of leadership on the school board. They are calling for the immediate removal of the Superintendent and the addition of a seat on the board of education for an elected student. They also want voting power for that student.

I told all of you things were bad there. Some of the trolls called this a joke. The only “JOKE” is the people in charge of the city of Allentown and the fact that they thought the city would just ignore them destroying every good person within it.

The first day of this protest was just a preview. Already the police followed the students and were trying to intimidate them. We were there to stop that right away by forming a line in front of the police. We would not allow them to harm a student.
The presence of cameras made this escalating situation quickly end. The officers realizing they could not get away with anything immediately sent in their negotiator. Assistant chief of police William Lake. He was quite friendly and even shook our hands. We did not let any delusions about the situation go unsaid. I told him if he touched any of these kids they will be across the country in a matter of hours on COPBLOCK.ORG.

The day ended in peace but it is not over. The students will be doing a walkout all this coming week and we will be there for all of it! These kids have shown the power of the people and we stand 100% with them! God Speed my young brothers and sisters.
