CBR Ep. 104: “Meet The New Copblockers”

Februray 3, 2016

This week on Copblock Radio our top story was brought to us by Ademo Freeman of Copblock.org. Its the story of Steven Talley. Mr. Talley has been assaulted and charged with crimes later proven to be false, not once but twice. You can read the full story HERE.

Next we hit on a video out of Pittsburgh, PA.  The video shows an officer beating down a man with his hands in the air. The officer in the video was never charged because the DA decided that the officer’s explanation of what occurred was good enough for him, despite the VIDEO.

Our final story of the segment was out of Chicago. It tells a story of a man desperately crying out for help a number of times in a night. The mans pleas were ignored after two 911 calls. The third call led to police showing up and killing him. This bizarre almost unbelievable story originates from Phil Roberts of NBC Chicago and can be read HERE.

We wrap up the half with our guest of honor, Rick. He is the founder of a brand new CopBlock group out of Allentown, PA. Anyone who has followed the CopBlock Network for the last six months has heard the wild stories of police misconduct there. It’s great to see someone step up to bring accountability to the area! Groups have been trying for a while, but hopefully with a direct focus we can start to get somewhere.

Our second half opened with the founder of Minnesota Copblock. Amanda has one of the most active Copblock groups in the country. She entertains us greatly with a story about her police fencing themselves into their station to avoid protesters. The police unwittingly essentially jailed themselves, a task we have all been trying to accomplish for quite some time now. Hats off to you Amanda.

We finish off the show with two insane back to back stories where people ended up dead. First a video of a suicidal man being shot up by trigger happy police.  After they fill the man with bullets on video, an officer arriving late decides to turn his gun on a bystander, since he missed out on shooting the man.

Wrapping up for the night is a mysterious story out of Fresno California. The story Of John Lang is both bizarre and scary. This man was an activist that claimed on social media to be fearful that police were going to kill him. He reached out directly to a number of his friends and even alternative news sites in the days leading to his death but sadly was dismissed as being paranoid. John was killed by stabbing and his home was set on fire. A petition is going to get the president to look into his death. Sign the petition HERE.

On a personal show note, this was the smoothest show we have done since Derrick left. We have really started to get used to the equipment and the feel of the live feed. WE thank all of the fans for hanging in there! Our call lines will hopefully be back up soon. We just need a few pieces of equipment to accomplish that. Speaking of that, if anyone would like to donate to help us accomplish that goal you can do so through PAYPAL or send Bitcoin to: 1HWB5HvoQmzXpG4MxG2EjUCTDdpjcuuayY
We need about 200 more dollars to got the rest of the equipment we need to complete the studio.

Thank you all for the support.  Keep filming the police and as always remember Badges Don’t Grant Extra Rights.
