New Jersey cops attack, threaten man for filming

This video was first uploaded to YouTube last year, but has just recently gone viral.

According the the description of this video, the police in this video were ticketing a man because he was wearing a shirt that said “Fuck I’m Lemne.” If this is true, the officers are guilty of violating this man’s civil rights since “profanity” (or whatever you want to call it) is considered constitutionally protected speech under the First Amendment (see here and here).

It’s not clear from the video whether or not this is true, but it is perfectly clear that these officers physically assaulted the videographer and threatened to destroy his camera and arrest him even though he was doing nothing illegal — all of which are serious crimes. Regardless of how this incident started, these cops are nothing but a gang of thugs.
