In the Southeast? Have Story Leads? Want to Connect?

In a few days I’ll be driving from Austin, TX to Winston-Salem, NC – on the way I hope to capture content for CopBlock.org and connect with some fellow Copblockers.

If you know of story leads or want to meet to brainstorm leave a comment to this post or email me at pete@copblock.org. I’m especially interested in getting new Cop Block offshoots off-the-ground – if that’s something you recently did or have been thinking about doing hit me up!

I’m right now on the road heading west to Austin [I wrote and scheduled this post before hitting the road] with my bud Clyde Voluntaryist, founder of NeverTakeAPlea.org, for the Police Accountability Summit* happening this Saturday. We’re doing the 20-hour drive in two days along a southern route:

Southern Route

Early next week I’ll roll out of Austin and likely be head back on either a middle route:

Middle Route

or a more northern route:

Northern Route

I plan to cover the distance back to Winston-Salem over the next week or so, depending on the route, the volume of content collected, and where ever I spontaneously feel inclined to go.

If you know of anything along the middle or northern route that should be covered by CopBlock.org – a heavy-handed police employee, a Copblocker who’s having an impact in their area, an incident that’d benefit from the light of transparency, or anything else – let me know.

This should be a good little jaunt. Combining content creation and dissemination with on-the-ground collaboration and activism was what Ademo and I did the past few years when active with Liberty On Tour and Motorhome Diaries through which we met thousands of people, created hundreds of videos, and visited nearly all the states in the lower-48.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions and input! Looking forward to crossing-paths with some of y’all along the way!

*in addition to informing folks about both CopBlock.org and NeverTakeAPlea.org, I’ll have materials from FreeKeene.comThe Philosophy of Liberty tri-folds, Escape to Keene giant postcards, and Don’t Take a Plea Deal tri-folds
