35 People Arrested at Bradley Manning Protest

It appears that 35 people were arrested for peacefully sitting in the intersection outside of Quantico’s military base, where Bradley Manning is being held. Hundreds of Bradley Manning, go here to learn more, supporters rallied outside the base entrance on Sunday yet were keep away from memorials and other public property by a slew of armed enforcers. The video below shows the ‘riot police’ arresting one of the individuals in the intersection.

It seems those employed by the state, to work as your servants on public matters, have forgotten your right to peacefully assemble. The Associated Press even quoted one base official saying, “We’re pleased that people were able to express their First Amendment rights in a manner that did not infringe upon base property.” Serious? I didn’t know the first amendment stated you have the right to protest where you’re told to, in the manner you’re told to, at the time you’re told to and under the careful eye of a heavy police presence – included officers from six agencies, mounted officers and tactical vehicles.

Welcome to the land of the free. Please.
