Person w/ badge boots car tire, Person w/ superhero suit removes boot from car tire
“I wonder what the bobbies think of his antics – but oh well.”
That’s right. “Oh well.”
Was it right for an individual to put a boot onto your car and hold it for ransom if you’ve not harmed him or anyone else, and haven’t breached any contract?
I’d say no. If there’s no victim there’s no crime.
You have the right to retain your property – whether it be your vehicle, firearm or life – in the face of coercion.
One might argue that the cutting-off of a vehicle boot is liberating property.
