Cops Assault Two Men Then Charge Them With Assault

Tywonn Mitchell shared this post via CopBlock.org’s submit page.

On May 21, 2013 my older brother, Naibon Moore and I, both college students who recently completed final exams, were making our way to pick up a call-in order from our neighborhood Coney Island that we’ve been eating at regularly for over 6 years when things took a turn for the worst. Two officers decided to follow us into the Coney Island and pick a fight for no justifiable reason at all.

At the end of it all, my brother and I have both been charged with 3 felony counts and face a maximum of 12 years [in prison] for our basic human instinct, which is to defend one’s self at all cost, no matter who the attacker may be, and exercising our rights as everyday, prudent citizens.
