Backing Up Your Videos Wirelessly in Case an Officer Decides to Destroy the Evidence

Charles H. shared the following post via CopBlock.org’s submit page.

Okay guys, I was asked to post this because it can seriously help you guys out. I know it has helped me quite a bit in the past. So, why not share the love right?! Okay, I’m not sure if all of you are aware, but today’s technology has helped out MANY individuals to get out of prison time due to evidence being made in court via cameras and video. It helps out in many ways, but a lot of them are vulnerable to being destroyed due to some police officers being, dare I say, ‘smart’. They delete the evidence or just destroy the devices all together. In some cases, people can download some software applications that place the videos on an online site that they can pull up later. But with some phones, and service providers, that video can either be blocked, only partially sent, or not be fast enough to send.

For this instance, I recommend that everyone have a back up camera that has one of these babies.

You will need a tablet, or netbook/laptop being carried by someone else, or hidden within your vehicle or on a friends person so that the video and pictures that you take will automatically be sent to the device in question. Once those pictures/video have been sent to the device, should it have internet capability or streaming, they can then upload the pictures to an online account or email them to another friend on the spot.

You can boost the range of the devices capability through more powerful batteries, but every device is different, so be careful. I have personally destroyed several devices due to having too much power being sent through it to boost its range. Most of the time, a person will not have to do that as long as the device they are transferring the pics/video to is a short distance away. Usually 10-20 yards. But make sure you test it out before going into the field and fighting legal issues with corrupt cops and such.

Below is the name of the card I have purchased, as well as the link above that gives information about it. I wish everyone luck in their cop blocking.
