Deriliction of Duty by Missouri Highway Patrol

On Wednesday October 9th, 2013, I was taking a stroll down Main St. in my home town of Brookfield, MO. I happened to come across a MSHP car parked in front of a local barber shop, so I chose to check it out, thinking that maybe they had been robbed! When I looked inside, I noticed a man in a uniform with a badge and a gun receiving a hair cut. I snapped a few pictures of the vehicle, and outside of the shop, then waited on the bench for the police employee to leave the shop. When the police employee exited, he immediately came at me asking me why I was taking pictures. I informed him of my right to do so, then when he noticed I started to record, he quickly backed off then was quick to leave the scene. The man was very reluctant to answer any of my questions. When he was asked if he was working, he simply replied, “Yeah.” He also was very rude when I asked for a name and badge number, simply stating, “It’s on my plate you took a picture of earlier.”
People, is this the kind of police work you wish to pay for? What if it was your family member who had happened to be involved in a serious accident? This man, who is paid to protect you, wastes your tax dollars on his adventures! Demand accountability! Call the MSHP and tell them to DO THEIR JOB!
