According to the Saturday, November 30, 2013 print edition of the Bowie News (www.bowienewsinc.com), Ryan Evans reporting (firstname.lastname@example.org):
A Bellevue, TX man, Jason Terry, a former Bellevue school board member, was attending a basketball game and was asked to leave by one of the coaches. He exited the building without incident, but was confronted by two Nocona Police Officers (Micheal Montgomery, and Captain Matt Poole) in the parking lot.
One of the officers reportedly pushed Terry from behind and then tackled him. The second officer got involved and Terry was tasered multiple times.
A State Trooper arrived at the scene and determined that one of the officers was intoxicated at the time.
Terry has been charged with assault on a public servant and resisting arrest. He is being held on a $202,000 bond. Neither police officer has been charged, and the Montague County sheriff’s office is investigating.
Witness reports claim Terry is the victim of police abuse, yet he is the only one in jail with a $202,000 bail.
