Think, Act, Create a Better Reality
Earlier this year, when YouTube.com changed-up the layout of channels, a section up top was added to house a video that auto-played for those not-yet subscribed to the channel. Channel admins were encouraged to make and post to that section, a short and informative video, in the hope that it transitioned into more channel subscribers.
Having a piece of content in that area – to enable those not too familiar with Cop Block and its efforts to get up-to-speed – was the main impetus for the creation of the video “Think, Act, Create a Better Reality“, which I consider to be a more concise version of “Want to End Police Brutality? Focus on the Institution“, which was posted to the channel almost a year ago.
Script used in the video “Think, Act, Create a Better Reality”
The initiation of force is not good
More and more, it’s done at the hands of those who swore an oath to protect
The march toward paramilitary policing isn’t conducive to transparency or justice
We’re is working to change that by standing up for our rights, policing ourselves, and supporting others wronged by self-proclaimed “authorities”
In stark contrast to the centralized, top-down hierarchies that divide, Cop Block is decentralized, we work from the bottom-up, to unite
There’s not one, single protocol that we seek to implement
Instead, we solicit and share knowledge and tactics found effective
We’re not anti-police. In fact, current and former police employees are involved with Cop Block
But we are against bad ideas and institutions that paint some people as more equal than others
Our tagline is simple but powerful – Badges Don’t Grant Extra Rights
Individuals act and are responsible for their actions, no matter their attire, and no matter what legislation says
If you realize things today aren’t ideal and you do nothing to change the situation, it’ll only be more difficult tomorrow
And certainly, it will be more difficult for the next generation
We’re in this together – join us
Pursue whatever avenue you think best
Hit the streets, write articles and how-to guides, share content, participate in call floods, provide input, support those in legaland, have a positive presence in your community – anything
Thank you in advance!
As Henry Hazlitt said,
The times call for courage. The times call for hard work. But if the demands are high, it is because the stakes are even higher. They are nothing less than the future of human liberty, which means the future of civilization.
