Greenfield Police Have No Comment Or Accountability

Last year Pete and I were arrested for filming Franklin Co sheriffs and Todd M. Dodge of the Greenfield police department. Yesterday Pete, Beau and myself headed to the Greenfield police station to interview officers there about filming police. The first officer we seen yesterday was Todd M. Dodge and before we could speak with him we were threatened by a lieutenant. He ordered me to have no contact with Dodge and that if I didn’t follow his order I could, “see what happens.”

It’s ironic that the Greenfield police consider asking Dodge, or any other officers, questions a form of intimidation. Especially since these guys make a living running around with guns on their hips demanding money and giving ‘orders’ to people. In another dispute, where an individual wronged someone else, the two parties would talk it out until a reasonable solution can be reached. Yet, when those people are police we’re forced to go through long legal processes that are often times too demanding or expensive.

The Greenfield police are lucky to be funded by the government, or your tax dollars, because I doubt anyone would pay for the service they seem to provide this community. Again, we’ll be at Replay on Main Street in Greenfield, MA from 1 -4 tomorrow. Stop down and say HI!

Please edit your articles for proper grammar. “The first officer we seen” should, obviously, be “the first officer we saw”. It seems very unprofessional. Heck, I’ll do it, if you want, send them to my email.

excellent investigative journalism….too bad that the copblock team is more professional as unpaid citizen activists than well paid Sgt. Dodge.

I keep hoping greenfield courts will wake up and do the right thing by dismissing the charges so that the guys can move on with their work as patriots and hero’s

    @Superfluid Go eat a dick.

Classic bureaucrats. They take no responsibility for their own actions, and they blame everything on everyone else. The captain was simply lying when he claimed he could not talk to you. He COULD talk to you, but he was more interested in “following orders” of the people who pay him.

What a horrible, horrible system — at least for anyone who isn’t a government employee.

  • akazip

let’s stop calling them ‘government employees’, and use the proper term: ‘tax feeders’.

Im organizing an 8 week filmstravaganza here in Hampton Roads beginning June 1st through the end of August…..

Ive successfully reached each of the PIO’s from the police agencies we plan to film….so far only Norfolk Virginia has been standoffish….mentioning that if we “cross the line” the master sgt. attached to the PIO’s office would make sure “we” were “hauled to jail”.

Suprisingly Virginia Beach Police Have been the most accomadating.

Looking for additional support or volunteers here in Southeastern Virginia ……..Larry

I 100% agree with you. I live here in greenfield and my husband has had to deal with this system. They do not realize what they do affects poeples lives and families. They claim that they do not have enough officers to respond to every call but they have enough to arrest you. What they did to you was wrong and I am 99.9% sure it was in relation to the organization that you support. My husband was let go of his job due to the false charges that were print in the local paper. After all was said and done through the hoop jumping court system, my husband ended up with a misdemor. In the end it is not what you know, it’s who you know.

    You guys are fuckin retarded.

The vent your hand was by obviously has holes in front of it where a VIN plate was at one point but is not gone. You dont need to have your rights read to you if they are not questioning you about the crime in a manner that is going to incriminate your. Stop watching TV and think that is how the police operate. Are the bad cops out there yes, but people like you and your group like to exploit our laws in a manner that is not how they were intended to be interpreted. If you did nothing wrong then our justice system will figure that out and when you are found not guilty you can file a suit against said people who wronged you.

Can’t wait to see what they come up with in July. More hoops to jump through or maybe they’ll get their heads out of their ass and drop the bullshit charges. i hope to be there for that one too.

I truly hope you are arrested and kept in jail for a long time. Tax evasion is not funny. Those roads you drive that POS down to spread your “message”…my tax dollars maintain them. As they do all the other public facilities you clowns no doubt use. Yes, you belong in jail. And if someday it is within my power, I will make sure you get there.
