Topeka Capital Police for ya’
Addison Marshall Mikkelson shared this post via CopBlock.org’s submit page.
I was minding my own business filming, when Kansas Capitol Police Sergeant Terry Golightley approached me telling me that I cannot videotape the security areas. He then pursued to try to intimidate me, by walking in my personal space and making me walk backwards; he also tried other techniques. In the end, all of the tactics failed because I didn’t feel intimidated one bit. Anyway, if you listen to the video, Golightley states a lot of invalid facts about recording laws in Kansas. Kansas only requires that one person needs to acknowledge that there is a camera recording video and audio.
