Finally, a clip from my beating and Tasering from last Feb.
I had been trying to figure a way to get this video into a usable format after all this time. Nothing worked, so I just tried videotaping off of my television. The dashboard video comes on a CD which plays only on a computer since it requires a proprietary application. Not the best and not the whole clip, but I’m working on that.
This is after I was stopped and ordered from my truck at gunpoint. I keep responding with, “Am I under arrest?”, to which they never reply.
This is a clip from dashboard video of a traffic stop by Fairview Heights, Il. police on Feb. 17, 2009 where I was ordered to my knees at gunpoint and then beaten and Tasered by two police. When asked why I was stopped each cop had a different response: “You were weaving,” and “You got a warrant.”
They did not even know who I was as you can hear them asking after I had been beaten and Tasered.
I received 5 charges for the entire event, all of which were dismissed. I now am involved in a civil suit and pressing criminal charges against the cops.
The first cop tries to put me on the ground without warning instead of cuffing me while kneeling, and the second cop comes into frame and does a knee-drop on my head and starts Tasering me. You can hear the clack, clack, clack.. of the Taser while they are kicking and punching me telling me to put my hands behind my back. At this point I am fighting for my life. The Taser was used as a “dry stun” where the cartridge is removed from the gun and placed against the skin. He chose to place it on the back of my neck at the base of my skull.
You can also hear them asking me for ID after the fact. I suffered multiple cuts, abrasions, broken glasses, chipped tooth, and broken nose.
