At This Rate, We’ll Have Health Insurance Checkpoints Soon

First, we had the right to travel freely. Then, we had sobriety checkpoints. Now, we have driver’s license checkpoints. Oh, and now, don’t turn to avoid checkpoints because it has been said that they’ll pull you over to find out why you turned. That is not probable cause.
Lawful abiding citizens are being inconvenienced, detained, and questioned – for what? They say safety. I say financial gain and to reeducate the public that some infringement on constitutional rights is okay for your ‘safety.’
I ask this question: Do unlicensed drivers really pose more of an on-the-road safety threat than licensed drivers? Or, is the threat they pose really just the undermining of government and the funds they believe they’re entitled to?
