Chief of Police Issues Statement Concerning Officer Child Pornography Charges

On December 4th a 33 yr old Altona Police Officer from the Canadian Province of Manitoba was arrested and is now being charged with voyeurism, making child pornography, and possessing child pornography.

The Altona Chief of Police, Perry Batchelor issued a statement on Dec 6th saying that the Altona PD will be working with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police’s Major Crimes Unit and the RCMP’s  Internet Child Exploitation Unit.

The name of the officer has not been yet released. He has now been freed from custody and suspended with pay.
