License plate scanners come to Indianapolis
It’s becoming harder and harder to get away from the watchful eyes of Big Brother these days. The Surveillance State is all around us. And now it’s making it’s way to Indianapolis.
The IMPD has recently bought and installed 5 license plate scanners, one for each district and are now collecting plenty of date on innocent people and turning them into possible suspects at all times. They say it is being used to catch murders, thieves and child abductors, but what it really is for is a database of thousands of vehicles used in order to pinpoint where you are at any given time on any given day.
Somewhere George Orwell is saying “I told you so”
The IMPD isn’t stopping at just 5 scanners, they are hoping to get more federal grants, i.e., stolen money, to purchase more scanners so they can easily know where you are all the time. And don’t think for one second this won’t be abused. I’m willing to lay a lot of money down on the fact that in the future we will see stories of the police collecting license plate data on “domestic terrorists,” i.e., those that take on the state, and using it to watch the so called “threats to national security”
There really is no place to hide anymore, and I won’t be surprised if my scathing rants against government here and in my Examiner posts have landed me on some sort of government watch list somewhere.
How does it make you feel that you are not even safe driving down the interstate anymore? Not like you were in the first place.
I can tell you right now that I certainly am not safe with this kind of technology in the hands of people who clearly have a grudge against those that don’t bow to their “authority”, anything they can to track the serfs.
