Antique Marine Chronometer Chronograph Ship's Clock:
For sale is this antique ships' clock by Viktor Kulberg of London and retailed to A. Ericksson of St. Petersburg. Serial no. 6391, date of manufacture 1896. This clock is in working condition; when wound fully it runs for about three days. It has just been serviced and has a clean bill of health! Service records included. The gyroscopic mechanism inside the case spins freely when unlatched. The lock works and comes with a key. In all it's an excellent little piece of maritime history and a beautiful, functional addition to the home. The provenance to this particular piece is of interest. It was in the possession of the Russian admiralty until captured in the Russo-Japanese War. It remained with the Japanese presumably as a trophy until captured by my uncle, a Marine officer, at the Battle of Okinawa. It has spent the decades since sitting on my family's mantle.
