Original Rcmp Uniform Set Royal Canadian Mounted Police Montana Peak Hat Holster:
RCMP uniform set, original tunic, hat, pistol belt, ammo holder, holster, cross strap, extra buckle. Jacket is made by Bond Clothes, measures shoulder to shoulder 17 1/2", shoulder to cuff 26", armpit to cuff 18 1/2" and 30" overall length. The hat is unmarked, size about 7 1/8. Belt is 34" made by J.E. Lortie Co. Ltd. Montreal. The trousers, included, are US army, don't match, but look somewhat close. Condition of all is very good, some storage dirt, shows some use and age. Not sure about the patches, looks like they are glued on, not sure that is right. Look at the pictures, I can get more, if needed. Ask any questions you want, that's fine. Really a great looking set together! Take care! Ron.
IMPORTANT NEW INFORMATION: First, the tunic or serge is an officer's. The collar dogs are Queens Crown Officers, appear vintage to the tunic. The gilt wash buttons, which also appear original, say Canada Militia and are marked on the back "SCULLY MONTREAL". The serge is only marked "Bond Clothes" a company that went out of business in 1977. The glued on badges, I took it upon myself to peel them off, they were obviously added on, NCO's chevron on an officers tunic, not right. Fortunately, 99% of the glue came off with the patches, leaving the serge intact, just have to pick at with a fingernail too get the rest off. Second, the Montana Peak hat is definitely not an RCMP Stetson, does appear to be some kind of issued hat, only markings inside are a handwritten 8.A. and and ink stamped # 33852. Third, the Sam Browne belt, holster, crosstrap, ammo container look like an original set of RCMP in fine condition. Fourth, as I said before the pants I just added along for the pictures sake, US army dress blues. I'm willing to break this set up, so if anyone is interested in any of the specific items let me know, otherwise I will list them separately if the remain unsold by the listings end. Special thanks to many RCMP collectors who have helped me figure some of this out, especially Chad!
