Beautiful condition. This young woman’s portrait has a mirrored reflection, and with has some damage to the image through the years but her figure, fancy dress and hauntingly bored expression are well preserved with slightly pink cheeks. She has a neat hair do, crocheted collar, guilt brooch, earrings, rings and watch chain.
The metal frame sits in front of the glass and behind. The case has detached from age but could be repaired.
The metal frame is stamped “anson 589” and “Broadway” a New York City, NY USA business located on Broadway in downtown Manhattan.
Not sure of the exact age - 1840s-1850s
