Police Use Probationee As Excuse to Force Way Into Home and Drug Test Innocent Mother

On the said date, my mother was sitting in her home when she heard a knock at the door. My youngest sister is on probation, and it is in the clause that my mother must answer the door when any uniformed thug knocks. She stated that my sister was not home, nor had she been. At this time, the officers involved (Koss, who goes around stating that he is indeed a Police Officer, when he is not, and Officer Dutcher) requested that they be allowed in the home. Again, due to the clause on my sister’s probation, my mother, who is not in any trouble at all, was forced to allow these people into her home.

The minute that they were allowed inside of the home, they began to question my mother about “alleged drug abuse,” as my sister’s probation officer had noted in court that my mother looked “like she had been up for days, and had not taken care of her appearance.” There are a few important things to note. First, my mother is not on probation. Second, my mother was not in the courtroom for herself, she was there for the proceedings of my sister. Third, she did not have her hair done, as she had been the third in line to shower, behind my sister who was going to court, and my father, who was on his way to work. Fourth, my mother has 8 levels fused in her back, and has been in chronic pain, which forces her to stay up and try to deal with the hurt. My mother stated that she was not, and had not, been doing the alleged drug abuse, and once she said this, the officer and investigator involved said that they had “reliable intel” that she was indeed using, and requested she do a urinalysis. She stated no, that she would not. She stated that she had committed no such alleged crime, and that the visit was supposed to be about my sister, not for my mother on account of my sister’s probation officer’s account. She then asked that they leave the home.

They refused, and stated that if she did not comply with what they asked, she would be taken to jail (the important part is to remember that she is not on probation, and was sitting at home watching TV with my 10-year old brother when they invaded her home, claiming that they were here for a probation visit), a warrant would be issued, and her blood would be forcibly drawn, as well as my little brother being taken from the home and put into foster care. Upon hearing this as her ultimatum, she agreed to take the U/A and prove that she was clean for methamphetamine. She took, and passed, this test, but a “Non-Negative” for marijuana, which is legal in Colorado, was produced. She was then, again, questioned, badgered, and threatened with her freedom, as well as the well-being of my younger brother, until she stated that she had smoked a joint in Colorado while she waited for my father to be done at his pain specialist.

This is not the first time that the Douglas, Wyoming Police Department has entered our home under false pretenses to gain access, then turn the tables. She was also told that if she denied to piss in their cup, an officer would sit in her house, not allow her to leave, and wait until a warrant could be produced, as they were “casing the situation.”
